Nathan Wise (DC) won the Georgie Read Barton Memorial Award for Oil Painting at this years’ 87th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Hudson Valley Art Association (of which Ms Barton was president in the 1960s). He dedicated the honor (for his figure painting entitiled “In The Studio — The Silver Bracelet”) to the memory of his Yale life-drawing teacher, Prof. Deane Keller ’23 (1901-1992).  Classmate Bill Keller is the professor’s son.
