“My son Yve, MFA ’11 Columbia, an interdisciplinary artist who was selected for the 2014 Whitney Biennial, will have performances in New York this year, and exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Basel and Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego in 2018. My son Jordan, JE’12, LAW’17 will be clerking for a federal district court in Alabama, and then for a judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
“After stepping down as Chief of Rheumatology at Kaiser Permanente San DIego, I have returned to part-time work as an “emeritus” partner. This spring, my photos will be included in a group exhibit, ” Eye Connect: Our Global Jewish World,” at the Gotthelf Art Gallery in La Jolla. (See sample photos and a blurb from the gallery here.)
“I hope you have a mild winter and that we all survive our new administration.”
Ciao ’til May,
Alan

EYE CONNECT: OUR GLOBAL JEWISH WORLD.
This photographic show will be featuring the work of artists near and far as we examine Jews and Jewish life around the globe. The Diaspora, an important part of our Jewish history, was the beginning of our people being scattered to new and foreign lands. Today, as Jews, we inhabit almost every country in the world and these photographs capture what is both common and unique to the Jews residing in each country represented.
