George Odell Makes a Major Career Shift

News from George Odell (PC):
“Hey there, Yale friends! I’ve made a major career shift in 2019, going from North Andover High School to One Connection Academy, where I am a ‘facilitator’ and founding board member. This brand new, very tiny, online high school is faith based (Christian Seventh-day Adventist) and deliberately located in the middle of ‘downtown’ Wakefield, MA, just above a dance studio, so as to connect with the community. We are accredited through our online academics provider school, Griggs International Academy. Our focus is on quality academics, community service & engagement, job training, spiritual & physical growth, and outreach: ‘Educating head, heart, and hands for service.’ Elsewhere, I’m doing what I can to build from the ashes of my other Alma Mater: the now defunct Atlantic Union College (South Lancaster, MA) where I earned my M.Ed. in 1998. I’m also helping the thriving Lowell’s Boat Shop (Amesbury MA), famous dory shop, now successful working museum, where some of you might remember I built dories for 20 years. In family news, Hazel and I and our ‘3’ ‘kids’ (quotes because technically we have only 2 kids and a niece, none of whom are kids) and 3 grand kids are by God’s grace doing very well. Best to all, George”
