Want to meet some enterprising students? Join us at a student panel on entrepreneurship at Yale. James G. Boyle, Managing Director of the Yale Entrepreneurial Society, and Kyle Jensen, School of Management, lead a panel of student entrepreneurs at 2:00PM, Friday, October 2, 2015.
How different is student life at Yale today? Find out at a panel of college deans, an admissions officer, and a master. The last morning of our mini-reunion for the classes of 1971, 1972, & 1973 features a panel on Yale Today with Joe Gordon, Deputy Dean, Yale College; Marvin Chun, Master, Berkeley College; Mia Genoni, Dean, Berkeley College; Jasmina Besirevic, Dean, Trumbull College; and Mark Dunn, Director of Outreach and Recruitment, Yale Admissions (and son of a member of the class of 1971!). 9:30AM, Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Yale Art Gallery Lecture Hall. Likely topics include the new colleges, sexual consent, alcohol abuse, the Yale campus police, and admissions outreach/recruitment.
A dinner, a mixer, a dance, a talk, and a reunion—all rolled into one. Join us for a special event at Commons. The main event at our mini-reunion will be the dinner at Commons, 7:00PM, Friday, October 2, 2015, featuring our dinner speaker, Kurt Schmoke ’71, and dancing to the Bales-Gitlin Band. Remind your friends and fellow classmates who can’t attend the full mini-reunion that they can register for just the Friday evening events (see below). In addition to the dinner and dance, these include a Women’s reception and a general reception.

For women of the classes of 1971, 1972, and 1973, a highlight of our upcoming cluster mini-reunion will be a reception for women in the Presidents Room (Memorial Quadrangle) at 6:00PM, Friday, October 2, 2015.

Our mini-reunion includes a lecture on Teaching at Yale by Jenny Frederick, Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning, 11:15AM, Friday, October 2, 2015. Come hear about the outstanding opportunities for teaching and learning at Yale and the innovative learning processes being used by Yale’s outstanding faculty. Evidence-based approaches to learning are now an integral part of Yale courses. Teachers in every division are actively engaging students in this learning process. The CTL is making teaching more public and part of the community conversation, and online education has influenced residential courses.

A highlight of our mini-reunion will be a Literary Reading at Davenport College hosted by Master Richard Schottenfield ’71 at 9:00PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015. Jonas Zdanys ’72 will act as MC, with assistance from Andrea DaRif ’73 and Bill Fowkes ’72.
Is it just a library or a cathedral of learning? Join us for an insiders’ tour of the Sterling Memorial Nave with Librarian Susan Gibbons and judge for yourself. Our mini-reunion for the classes of 1971, 1972, & 1973 includes an insider tour of Sterling Library, 3:00PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015, as well as a tour of Yale University Art Gallery, 4:15PM, led by student docents.
