Jack Casey (DC) Publishes Two Novels
September 15, 2012 in Notes, Publications
Jack Casey (DC) has had two novels published in the last several weeks—one new novel and one updated re-issue: A PARLIAMENT OF FOWLS was published by StoneGate Ink on September 17. This political satire follows Parliamentarian Christopher Sparrow through the riotous days of the “bloodless coup” in the New York State Senate during June and July 2009. Note that Casey served as Senate Parliamentarian for fourteen years, providing him with a good insider’s perspective on these kinds of shenanigans. KATERI — LILY OF THE MOHAWKS was published on October 2 by Staff Picks Press (Albany, NY) to celebrate Pope Alexander XVI’s October 21 canonization of Kateri Tekakwitha at the Vatican. With new insight from recent research, Casey rewrote his 1984 Bantam Books novel to deepen the story of this 17th Century Iroquois virgin, a Native American mystic who survived famine, plague and warfare to embrace Christianity.
