Jan Thorman’s (EZ) First Class Note in Years
November 5, 2012 in Notes
Jan Thorman (EZ) sent in her first class note in years: “I can’t remember the last time I submitted news, so it’s hard to know where to start. It was great seeing classmates at the reunion. I think we’re holding up pretty well. The major news since then is that my father died on July 4, just shy of his 96th birthday. He (and my mother, who is still around) lived in Annapolis, not far from our house. I’m grateful that I got to spend a lot of time with him over the 3 years since I retired. My younger son, who is a 3L at U. Michigan, was offered a post-graduation job at the law firm in Chicago where he worked this past summer. While I’m sorry he won’t be closer to home, I’m happy it’s in a city I love to visit. My older son is in the Navy but a lot closer to home, stationed about 20 minutes from our house in Annapolis. I continue to love my volunteer work as a docent at The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. It’s a terrific little museum in a beautiful location. I love showing it off and would be happy to organize a tour for classmates who let me know in advance they’re coming.”
