Jeanne Devine Reports on Co-Education Celebration
January 3, 2020 in Notes
Some news from Jeanne Devine (SM) sent in with her class dues payment:
From Jeanne Devine (SM): “More than 300 of us ‘first women’ in Yale College from the classes of 1971, 1972, and 1973 celebrated co-education September 19-22. I was delighted to see many I remembered and equally delighted to meet many I’d never gotten to know while we were students. Special pleasure to reconnect with Nancy Vickers, the grad assistant who resided in Silliman Entry N with us transfer students and eased us into life at Yale. As a panelist and former president of Bryn Mawr, she helped us understand the behind-the-scenes events that led to co-education, I’m so glad to have participated and look forward to the class of 1972’s 50th reunion.”
