Nathan Wise (DC) reports: “Beth and Alan Gaby (with children Anna, Jonah, and Emily) enjoyed a celebration in April in honor of their 9th grade son, Daniel, for his lead role in “My Name is Asher Lev” (from the Chaim Potok novel about a boy from a Hassidic family who becomes an artist). The stage production won this year’s New Hampshire State Championship for High School Drama Performances–and Daniel reprised his role when Concord High School appeared at the New England Drama Festival (in Connecticut). Beth and Mike Wolak, and Donna and I (with grandsons Jonathan and Jackson), joined the Gabys for dinner together. Daniel is movie-star handsome and looks just like a blond version of Alan when we met him back in ’68!”
