Buddy Menton (PC) isn’t sure he’s ever sent in anything to the class notes, but in response to my arm-twisting, he is sharing the following: “My two daughters now both have paying jobs. Daughter Jane (Colby College ’12) recently started as a recruiting assistant at the law firm Goodwin Procter in midtown Manhattan. Daughter Emily (Kenyon College ’14) is working for the summer as a waitress at Rocco’s Bakery on Bleecker Street in the Village and thinks that all of our classmates should stop by for a cannoli and a cappuccino and leave a big tip. I have recently started a blog, www.manhattancontrarian.com, that all of our classmates should read. Anyone who wants to get notice of updates can send their e-mail address to me at fmenton@willkie.com. I continue as a litigation partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York, now the third most senior partner of the firm (out of 140), and can’t believe how many people younger than me are retiring.”
