Yale Women Visit Carole King Musical, BEAUTIFUL
September 18, 2014 in Notes
Debbie Bernick (TD) reports that she organized a group outing of Yale women in March “to see the Carole King hit biographical musical Beautiful, followed by a spicy Indian dinner at a midtown Indian restaurant. Mary Pearl (DC), Jan Roth (ES) ’72 (and her husband and sister), Alice Welt Cunningham ’71, Jean Brenner ’71, and Elisa Spungen Bildner ’75 all joined in. Great ’60’s and ’70’s tunes like ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?’ and ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ spurred memories of blasting that music out of our dorm windows and into the courtyards of Yale four decades back. Glad we’ve still got many friends … from those bright college years!”
