Rob Bildner & Elisa Spungen Bildner Publish The Berkshires Farm Table Cookbook
May 7, 2020 in Notes, Publications
A MESSAGE FROM ROB BILDNER:
“We’re hoping this note finds you and your loved ones healthy during this difficult time.
“For the last four years, Elisa and I have been working on a cookbook that pays tribute to the farmers and farm-to-table chefs of the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, including neighboring New York, Connecticut, and Vermont, an area where we have lived part-time for over 35 years.
“Our book, The Berkshires Farm Table Cookbook, will be published May 19th by The Countryman Press/W. W. Norton & Company. You’ll meet these farmers and chefs through personal profiles and striking photographs, and you’ll be able to enjoy kitchen-tested recipes inspired by them – 125 in all.
“Who could foresee when we began this journey four years ago, that the book’s mission – encouraging consumers to buy locally-produced food – would be more important than ever? We are all scrambling to maintain our well-being during a time when our food options have become more limited. During this crisis, we need to support these hard-working and principled people.
“Here are three ways you can support this work:
1) Preorder the book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, and through IndieBound.org. Or contact your local bookseller directly, who may be taking orders at this time.
2) Post a review on Amazon or Goodreads, and share the book with friends.
3) Follow us on social media: Facebook / Instagram / YouTube.
”We hope you are staying safe and healthy, and surrounded by good books. And, of course, buying local whenever possible to support local farms!
“With appreciation,
Rob and Elisa”
