Two Books by Maryellen Toman Mori Published

Maryellen Toman Mori (BK) has recently had two books published by The Edwin Mellen Press.
Yūshi Hōgen: An Eighteenth-Century Japanese Farce (2016) combines a scholarly study of a satirical skit with an English translation of it titled “A Rake’s Patter.”
Mirror, Gems, and Veil: The Life and Writings of Takahashi Takako (1932-2013) came out in July 2018. This book examines the literary and religious world of an exceptional Japanese woman, and it offers English translations of three of her works of fiction.
