On May 9, 2002, Sarita Yvette Wardlaw Henry died suddenly of a stroke at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. She was born to Carroll and Blanche Wardlaw in White Plains, NY where she grew up. For the past ve years she lived in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa where she worked as a teacher. She is survived by her two children Adam and Aisha. Memorial Services were held at Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York City on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 pm.
