Welcome Class of 1972

Dear Classmates,

I’m still glowing from last October’s mini-reunion with the classes of ‘71 and ‘73! The programming, social events and logistics were spectacular, resulting from the hard-work, talent and commitment of the mini-reunion planning committee (the ‘72 contingent included Connie Royster, Andrew Capitman and class officers Bill Fowkes, Frank Krejci, Roger Rosenthal and me.) Since our 45th reunion is in May 2017, just around the corner, and knowing from experience with our mini-reunion planning how much superb leadership matters, I have some exciting news to tell you: Cynthia Brill and John Lapides have agreed to serve as co-chairs of our 45^th reunion. Cynthia and John are experienced and highly capable class leaders: Cynthia, an attorney, organized the Class of ‘72 women’s group, which meets twice a year in NYC, and also chaired a previous ‘72 reunion. John, President of United Aluminum Corporation, based in New Haven, was Reunion Gift Chair for our 40th reunion and has served on numerous committees at Yale over the years including the Yale Development Council. Cynthia and John have graciously agreed to volunteer their time and talent to assure that our next reunion will be one of our most interesting, enjoyable and engaging class events ever. They will be working with me over the next few months to assemble a terrific reunion planning committee, and they will attend the Class of ’71’s 45^th reunion this May to get ideas for our own a year later. We are seeking classmates to join our planning committee, including “college captains” who will solicit classmates from their colleges to attend the reunion. Please let me know if you are interested in joining this committee, and I will pass on your interest to Cynthia and John. In the meantime, many, many thanks to co-chairs Cynthia Brill and John Lapides, who will lead our 45th reunion!
