2012 Update from Nathan Wise (DC)
January 30, 2013 in Notes, Publications
For Nathan Wise (DC), 2012 was an eventful year. In February he was invited to dine with the new prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, Dr. Lopsang Sangay (the first Tibetan to receive a Ph.D. from an American university), his wife, and five-year-old daughter. (“He’s 42 and very much like a young Jack Kennedy … and he spent the last 16 years at Harvard.”) In October Nathan met the Dalai Lama. In addition, he wrote what will become his first published expository work as part of Blazes All Across the Sky: Writers Respond to the Poetry of Joni Mitchell (Lisa and John Sornberger, authors/editors, Three O’Clock Press, Toronto, Spring 2013.)
