Emmitt Wesley Dove died on October 11, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. After graduating from Yale, Emmitt continued residing in CT, working in home restoration, furniture design, and manufacturing. He worked for several years in Facilities Management at Yale before joining Champion Paper, where he designed, programmed, and installed computer systems. He retired in 2011 and is survived by his wife, Eleanor Sam Saulys; his children, Emily Ryan Haygood and Richard E. Dove (both of Texas); and two grandchildren.
