After 14 years as the Chief of Surgery at two Manhattan Hospitals, Howard Beaton (CC) has been in the private practice of general surgery at New York Downtown Hospital and the Weill Cornell Medical College for the past 4 years. He is still teaching and taking emergency calls, too. As he reports, “My 3 children are all grown and in various stages of starting their own families. Josh (Yale ’97) is an executive director at Morgan Stanley and has 2 children of his own. Audrey is also married and is Director of Marketing at BeeLine Furniture. Both live nearby on the Upper West Side. Jessica just started in the MBA program at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Unfortunately, I lost my wife, Bettye, to an 8-year long battle against AML last year. I feel well, exercise regularly, and enjoy my weekend retreat in Sherman, CT.”
