September 10, 2013 in Notes

Our secretary, Rob Bildner (DC) reports that our new Class of 1972 delegate to the AYA is Roger Rosenthal (MC). “Roger will serve a 3 year term, representing us at the annual AYA assembly (November 21 – 23) and reporting to our class about the proceedings. I am delighted that Roger, who is very enthusiastic about this opportunity to serve our class, will be working with me, our other class officers and the Class Council to engage our classmates in Yale alumni activities.” Roger is an attorney and the Executive Director of the Migrant Legal Action Program (MLAP), a Washington, DC-based national non-profit organization. MLAP is a support and advocacy center that serves as a voice for migrant and seasonal farm workers and immigrants and their families. MLAP undertakes direct advocacy and also provides technical assistance and training to an extensive network of direct service providers nationwide. Prior to his tenure at MLAP, which began in 1980, Roger worked for five years as a staff attorney at a national housing civil rights group, the National Committee Against Discrimination in Housing. Roger was in Morse College and attended Georgetown University Law Center immediately after graduation from Yale. He lives in Arlington, Virginia.
